Why it survived
The algorithm bet everything on literal interpretation, and somehow the market respected the commitment—turns out people will buy literally anything if you slap "corrupted consciousness" in the title and make the rust look intentional. The blue-against-rust chromatic tension didn't hurt either; it read as "thoughtful" rather than "what if we just asked the AI to hurt us," which is objectively the difference between $19.99 and a clearance bin. Survived because it looked expensive enough to seem accidental.
