Why it survived
This one survived because people will buy anything if you call the aesthetic "glitch" and pair it with enough blue-to-gray chromatic angst—the segmented carapace gave it just enough biological wrongness to feel intentional rather than like a render that simply failed to finish. The pixelated disintegration gave anxious graphic design enthusiasts permission to frame their existential dread as a deliberate stylistic choice rather than a cry for help. We're still not sure if the antennae fragments read as alien or insectoid, but the ambiguity worked in our favor, because uncertainty is apparently marketable when rendered in enough linework.
