Why it survived
The cracked monitor framing proved merciful—viewers could convince themselves it was either a statement about technology's fragility or just cool shit, two interpretations that split the difference between profundity and aesthetic. The rust palette, ostensibly a commentary on decay, somehow read as "vintage gaming" to enough people that we didn't have to explain the metaphor. Turns out when you make the apocalypse monochromatic, it becomes decorative.
The garments
