Why it survived
The biohazard symbol's tripartite geometry proved mathematically irresistible to the demographic that unironically uses words like "toxicity" in their dating profiles, while the cel-shaded halftone dots granted just enough visual texture to justify the markup without crossing into legitimate design territory. The alien cranium—that essential detail nobody asked for—somehow read as both maximalist and intentional rather than the result of an AI having a fever dream about H.R. Giger's browser history. Survives because it's aggressive enough to feel subversive and derivative enough to feel safe.
